Barbara is an Associate in the firm's corporate practice with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Since joining Barbara has advised on a range of projects, acquisitions and disposals with the energy and infrastructure team including regulatory aspects of the energy market, due diligence and bids for onshore and offshore wind portfolios, OFTOs and CCGTs.

Barbara's experience includes advising:
 

  • Transmission Capital Partners on its bid for various Rounds 5, 6, 7 and 8 offshore transmission assets
  • the Dutch Infrastructure Fund in relation to the divestment of a portfolio of European PPP and renewable energy projects in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and Ireland, including onshore wind farm assets in Germany and France
  • EDF Energy Renewables in connection with private wire and power purchase arrangements at a Scottish wind farm
  • Aquind on the development and operation of a 200MW interconnector between the United Kingdom and France

Background

Barbara is admitted as an attorney and counsellor-at-law with the New York Bar, US. Prior to converting to law Barbara studied business management and gained a BSc (Mgmt) (hons) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and subsequently studied at the University of Galway, Ireland gaining an LLB (hons) and at Queen Mary University, London, gaining an LLM (hons) in International Shipping Law.
