Ruth has more than 20 years’ experience advising clients involved in major class actions, regulatory investigations, insurance claims and contractual disputes.

Ruth currently acts for defendants in the financial services industry in multi-party class actions issued in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria.

In addition to her experience acting for financial services clients, Ruth has also acted for defendants in the technology sector, energy sector and the consumer products industry.

Ruth also represents clients in regulatory investigations and provides advice on class action related insurance issues to companies and their directors and officers.

Background

Ruth holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. Ruth is admitted to practice across Australia.
