Joel is part of the asset finance team, specialising in aviation finance.
Joel has experience advising financial institutions and alternative financiers across a variety of financing structures and has experience with IBOR transition. Prior to joining the firm, he completed a secondment as a legal counsel in the investment banking division of a global bank where he assisted with structured finance and asset finance transactions.
His experience includes acting for:
- the Singapore branch of a Japanese bank, on a term loan facility agreement to a Thai energy company
- a Taiwanese bank, on a term loan facility agreement to a Vietnamese financial leasing company
- a specialist financing company, on a framework facility letter for the financing of solar generation assets in Thailand
Background
Joel graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Summa Cum Laude) from Singapore Management University and had been placed on the Dean’s List on multiple occasions. He is admitted to practice law as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore.
