Brigitte is a solicitor in the Australian Environment, Planning and Communities team.

Brigitte assists public and private sector clients in relation to a range of environmental and planning issues. She has worked on a number of litigious matters in the Supreme Court, Land and Environment Court of New South Wales and Federal Court of Australia. Brigitte has also advised on a range of non-litigious matters including contaminated land, development control orders, voluntary planning agreements and development approvals more generally. She regularly assists in providing strategic planning advice for renewables and major infrastructure projects.

Brigitte’s recent experience includes:

  • advising on a proposed strata renewal under the Strata Schemes Development Act 2015 (NSW)
  • advising on approvals and civil enforcement actions under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth)
  • assisting with compulsory acquisition proceedings in connection with the Randwick Campus Redevelopment and The Northern Road expansion
  • providing strategic advice in relation to environmental incidents and responding to regulators

Brigitte is the Chair of the New South Wales Young Lawyers Environment and Planning Committee and is a volunteer solicitor with the Shopfront Youth Legal Centre.

Background

Brigitte holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
