Imogen is a disputes lawyer specialising in international arbitration and complex cross-border litigation.

Imogen is a disputes lawyer with broad experience in complex and significant disputes, both before international tribunals and courts.

She assists clients in a number of sectors and has a particular focus on disputes in the energy, technology and consumer products sectors.

Imogen’s experience includes advising:

  • a global energy company in ICC arbitrations seated in Australia relating to information technology services
  • a global energy company in a SIAC arbitration seated in Singapore relating to claims of fraud and breach of warranty arising from the purchase of oil and gas assets
  • a telecommunications conglomerate relating to potential investment treaty claims against an Asian State
  • the State of Victoria in defending multiple class actions relating to the Hotel Quarantine Program
  • Treasury Wine Estates in defending multiple shareholder class actions relating to the performance of its business in the United States
  • National Australia Bank in relation to an insurance claim in the Federal Court arising out of a customer redress scheme in the United Kingdom
  • a leading energy company in relation to a joint venture dispute concerning the operatorship of a project

 

Background

Imogen holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology. Imogen is completing a Master of Laws in International Dispute Resolution at the Queen Mary University of London. Imogen is admitted in Victoria, Australia.

Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Imogen was an Arbitration Associate to Dr Michael Pryles AO PBM, a leading international arbitrator.
