Warrick Louey

Warrick is responsible for the strategic leadership of Alternative Legal Services' Corporate, Finance, Real Estate and Projects (Corporate and FREP) practice in Australia.

Warrick leads a team of experienced lawyers and legal analysts to develop innovative, tailored and cost-competitive solutions for an expanding range of corporate legal service offerings, including due diligence, commercial contract reviews and verification.

In partnership with colleagues across the Herbert Smith Freehills network, the ALT corporate team provides support to corporate and capital markets transactions, as well as providing bespoke solutions to clients for standalone projects and ‘business-as-usual’ workstreams. 

Warrick has 10 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer – specialising in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate structuring, commercial agreements, general corporate law and regulatory issues.

Background

Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Warrick was a Senior Associate in the Corporate / M&A / Capital Markets group of a leading Australian law firm.   

In addition to his significant experience in the Australian market, Warrick has also worked in the Capital Markets group of a leading international law firm in London, where he acted on a range of cross-border transactions. 

Warrick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) / Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University.
