We are pleased to share with you the details of two upcoming EFILA events: the 7th Annual Lecture, taking place in Brussels on Thursday 28 October 2021 (5:00 PM – 7:30 PM CEST); and the 7th Annual Conference, taking place in Amsterdam on Friday 4 February 2022 (09:00 – 18:00 CET).

7th Annual Lecture

The 7th Annual Lecture will be delivered by Annette Magnusson on the topic "Energy Charter Treaty Arbitration and the Paris Agreement – friends or foes?”.

7th Annual Conference

This year's conference will focus on 'Is the EU still an attractive investment destination?' and will involve three panels on the topics:

  • New directions in investment protection in the EU;
  • What options after the ISDS ban in the EU?
  • Making investments in the EU: non-EU perspectives.

The keynote speech for the Annual Conference will be delivered by Professor Jacomijn van Haersolte-van Hof (Director General of the LCIA).
