For this reason, every two weeks, our firm has been publishing a tracker of ESG-related publications and developments, with a primary focus on developments that may be of most interest to or impact our clients, be they corporates, asset managers or asset owners.
Key updates covered in this edition include:
- the public consultation on Spain’s first Circular Economy Action Plan 2021-2023, launched by Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge closed on 26 February;
- the European Commission’s adoption of a new EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change, creating a pathway to prepare for the unavoidable impacts of climate change; and
- the Investment Association’sincrease in its expectations for companies on issues of climate change, diversity and executive pay ahead of this year’s AGM season, with a new system for flagging organisations that do not meet its criteria.
