Ayman is a corporate lawyer advising clients in the financial services industry.
Ayman has a broad base of experience supporting clients in the financial services industry with non-contentious and contentious regulatory matters as well as M&A transactions. This includes:
- providing advice on licensing, banking, consumer credit and AML/CTF laws
- drafting and reviewing business and consumer-facing contracts, including for compliance with the unfair contract terms regime
- conducting due diligence and advising on business and asset transfers, including M&A activities requiring approval under the Financial Sector (Transfer and Restructure) Act 1999 (Cth)
- assisting clients with regulatory investigations and disputes
Ayman is also Chair of the IRIS Network in the Melbourne office and is a founding member of the African Australian Legal Network.
Background
Ayman holds a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne. He is admitted to practice in Victoria and is on the High Court Register of Practitioners.
