Azlin advises on all aspects of Islamic banking and financing, conventional banking and financing, structuring Islamic finance products.

Azlin is highly experienced in assisting banks to structure wholesale and retail Islamic financing solutions and products. 
 
She has experience in Asia and the Middle East acting for banks and customers on Islamic and conventional financing transactions, familiar with Islamic financial structures.
 
In addition to Islamic financing, sukuk, murabaha and securities, she advises on conventional finance, including syndicated lending, debt issues, project and asset finance, and restructuring.
 
Her experience includes advising on: 
 
  • an Islamic compliant vessel financing, acting for the acquirer
  • an Islamic compliant murabahah real finance property transaction for real property based in England
  • a cross border syndicated loan to a bank operating in India

 

Background

Azlin joined the Kuala Lumpur office when it opened in May 2017. She brings with her over 18 years' experience at law firms in Malaysia and the Middle East.

Azlin graduated with a bachelor's degree from Warwick University in the UK. She obtained her master's degree in law from University College London in the UK. She was called to the Bar in England & Wales in 1996, and was admitted to the Malaysian bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in West Malaysia.
