Beltrán is an associate in the litigation, ADR and arbitration practice.
Beltrán's experience includes advising:
- a Mexican construction company on an ICC arbitration against a Bolivian infrastructure state-owned company for the undue and illegal termination of the works contracts (FIDIC) in relation to the construction of the dual carriageway in the road Santa Cruz-Cochabamba in Bolivia
- Gas Natural on a civil claim filed by many insurance companies that claims the payment of damages paid by them as a consequence of an explosion in Palencia that caused many damages
- a power supply company on an appeal lodged in proceedings brought by an oil & gas producer following an interruption of energy
- Banco Santander on various financial disputes
Background
Beltran has a degree in Law with a certificate in International Legal Studies (E-1) from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), where he also completed his master in Access to the Exercise of the Advocacy with a major in Companies Law.
He is a native Spanish speaker. He is also fully competent in English.
