Cynthia Ng
Cynthia is a corporate law specialist with a focus on M&A transactions.
The primary focus of Cynthia's practice is Corporate/M&A. She advises clients on a range of transactional matters, including private and public M&A, series fund raising exercises, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Cynthia is also experienced in advising clients on general corporate compliance matters.
The secondary focus of Cynthia's practice is private capital transactions. She focuses on advising financial investors, private equity firms and corporates on a range of cross-border private capital transactions involving different sectors, including technology, media and telecom.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Cynthia was trained and has worked in major international law firms in Hong Kong.
Upon joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Cynthia's recent experience includes advising:
- Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd on the sale of a minority stake in PT XL Axiata to a consortium backed by Provident Capital Partners and Tiga Investments
- Columbia Capital LLC and DigitalBridge Group, Inc. on the acquisition of the Hong Kong and Singapore fibre assets and business from Superloop Limited
- different private capital clients on cross-border acquisitions and disposals
Background
Cynthia is qualified to practice in Hong Kong. Cynthia received her BBA (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Hong Kong.
Cynthia speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
