Mark is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team. He is based in our London office, and has previously completed secondments to Lloyds Banking Group's commercial banking litigation team and BP's upstream legal team. Mark has worked on a range of commercial disputes with domestic and international clients across multiple sectors, including banking, mining, energy, insurance and TMT.
Mark has a wide variety of commercial disputes experience, including acting for:

a Chinese SOE in High Court proceedings for fraudulent misrepresentation against the vendors of shares in a sports media rights business

a retail franchisee in negotiations to exit from territories affected by the conflict in Ukraine

a large international mining company in an LCIA arbitration and related Court proceedings in South Africa and Botswana, involving the defendant's failure to complete a share purchase

a major international bank commencing an LCIA arbitration and a worldwide freezing order application relating to a claim under a personal guarantee

an investment management company on a contractual termination dispute with a supplier of IT development services, including an application to contest jurisdiction on the grounds of breach of a contractual dispute resolution procedure
