Mark Maguire

Mark is responsible for assisting in the management of ALT Disputes matters and supporting instructing teams throughout the Herbert Smith Freehills global network to provide high quality outcomes for clients.

Mark was part of the initial intake of staff in the ALT Belfast office in April 2011, joining as Legal Analyst. After qualifying as a solicitor in Northern Ireland with a leading commercial firm, Mark returned to the Herbert Smith Freehills ALT Disputes practice in 2015 with a particular focus on commercial litigation.

Mark advises clients in relation to:

• investigations following whistle-blower allegations
• investigations following a public inquiry
• numerous contractual disputes
• a large-scale dispute resolution and remediation Scheme

 

 

Background

Mark graduated with a bachelor's degree in Law with Criminology from the University of Ulster in 2009. Mark then graduated with a master's degree in Politics with commendation in 2010 before being admitted as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2014.
