Sameer is an associate in the Construction department.
Sameer has multi-jurisdictional exposure, having worked across two continents, spanning both the common and civil law systems. This, together with his experience both in private practice, and in-house at one of the world's largest oil and energy companies, allows Sameer to be uniquely placed to understand client needs, and to effectively deliver solutions in a manner which takes into account commercial, cultural and regional nuances.
Sameer's experience includes:
- advising a large property asset management company in relation to fit-out and major demolition works over three properties across England, ranging between £5 million and £22 million
- advising the largest developer, manufacturer and distributor of marine electronics on the recent refurb and fit-out for its new office premises. Including preparation of full suite of contract documents
- advising Cain International and partners on the £680 million residential and mixed-use development at The Stage, Shoreditch
- advising Capco on its regeneration of Earl's Court in London, a 55-acre residential-led scheme on the site of the old exhibition halls, including suite of framework appointments.
Background
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Sameer was seconded to Abu Dhabi, where he acted as in-house legal counsel for ADNOC Group advising on all aspects relating to oil and gas, construction and R&D.
