Claudia is an associate in the Insurance & Professional Risks team in London.
Claudia advises on a variety of insurance disputes and assists clients across a range of sectors in relation to contentious policy claims. She also advises brokers in relation to potential errors and omissions and other liabilities.
Claudia's experience includes advising:
- Aercap on claims under aviation insurance policies in excess of US$3.5 billion relating to the loss of aircraft and engines in Ukraine and Russia following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the imposition of international sanctions
- the Financial Conduct Authority in its ground-breaking business interruption insurance test case for losses arising out of COVID-19 at first instance and the Supreme Court
- an international pharmaceutical company on D&O insurance claims arising from the US opioid crisis
Background
Claudia obtained a degree in Modern Foreign Languages at UCL before converting to law. She joined Herbert Smith Freehills as a trainee in 2020 and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2022.
