Yulia Turkina

Yulia is an international construction and energy lawyer with particular focus on the downstream sector. She works on the biggest construction projects implemented by such Russian energy majors as Gazprom, Lukoil, Sibur, Norilsk Nickel and Rosneft and assists large-scale M&A in the sector. 

Yulia has worked with different types of project documents: FEED, EPC, EPSS contracts, technology licences, basic engineering agreements, technical services contracts, equipment and catalysts supply arrangements and has advised clients on all the key legal and commercial aspects of construction projects.

Yulia's experience includes advising:

• RusChemAlliance (JV of Gazprom and RusGazDobycha) in relation to all legal aspects of its new integrated gas processing and LNG liquefaction project development in Ust-Luga, Russia, including construction strategy, front end design documentation and EPC contracts
• LUKOIL on technology licences, FEED contract, contract strategy and development of a greenfield downstream project in Russia and its potential project financing
• PT Pertamina Rosneft Pengolahan dan Petrokimia (Indonesia), a joint venture of Rosneft (a major oil & gas company in Russia) and Pertamina (Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company), on the construction of USD 16 bln Tuban grass root refinery and petrochemical complex at Tuban, Indonesia
• Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk in connection with construction, procurement and financing of Amur gas processing plant including preparing and negotiating construction contracts (including EPC) and EPSS contracts, technology license, supply and other project agreements
• China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company Ltd (“CNODC”) on its acquisition of 10% in Arctic LNG 2 from Novatek, including extensive legal due diligence of construction contracts and technology licences
